Sarasota County Girl In Critical Condition After Being Sucked Into Storm Drain

(Sarasota, FL) -- There's more information today on the young child that was swept down a storm drain in Sarasota County. Officials say the girl is in critical condition after the freak accident on Sunday. The sheriff's office says she was playing near a culvert when a water main broke, and the strong current pulled her in. She wound up going a hundred yards through the drainage system before she was found and taken to the hospital. The family says they're hoping for a miracle.
