SANTA ROSA TEACHER ACCUSED OF SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP WITH STUDENT

A Santa Rosa County teacher has been arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a student. According to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, 36-year-old Molly Marie Mersereau was arrested yesterday and charged with engaging in a romantic relationship with a student, two counts of using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony, second-degree felony criminal solicitation and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The investigation into Mersereau began after the Gulf Breeze Police Department received a Crime Stoppers tip. Santa Rosa County School District administrators released a statement, saying in part that Mersereau was placed on administrative leave after being arrested. Administrators also said they have recommended to the school board that she is put on unpaid suspension.
