Santa Rosa Extension offers cottage foods business class Nov. 5

The UF/IFAS Santa Rosa County Extension Service is hosting an Introduction to Cottage Foods class Thursday, November 5, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at their offices in Milton.

The workshop covers Florida cottage food law, what qualifies as a cottage food product, food safety basics for home-based production, labeling requirements, and where cottage food operators can legally sell their goods. The class costs $10 and is designed for people interested in starting a small food business from home.

Pre-registration is required by Tuesday, November 3, through Eventbrite. Space is limited and walk-ins won't be accepted.
