Santa Rosa County phone outage hits multiple government offices

Santa Rosa County residents encountered difficulty reaching several county offices by phone Monday after incoming calls went down across multiple departments, according to officials.

AT&T is aware of the outage and working on repairs, Santa Rosa County Communications & Media Relations said in a statement issued at 1:20 p.m. The disruption affected Engineering, Environmental Department, Housing, Inspections & Permits, Planning & Zoning, Mosquito Control, Public Works, and Veterans Services.

Until phone service is restored, the county is directing residents to use email and online channels. Engineering, Environmental, Housing, and other departments have published email addresses for inquiries, while permit and planning applications can be submitted through My Government Online at mgoconnect.org. Public Works work order requests are available through SeeClickFix, and residents can book Veterans Services appointments online. The county said it will issue an update when repairs are complete.
