Santa Rosa County opens free vegetative debris drop-off sites

Santa Rosa County is opening two temporary, free drop-off locations for residents to dispose of vegetative debris from Hurricane Isaias, offering an alternative to the county's ongoing curbside collection service.

The sites are located at Lenny James Tolbert Memorial Park (Holley Ball Park) in Navarre at 3124 Bob Tolbert Road, and Santa Rosa Soccer Park in Pace at 3360 Joppa Drive. Both operate from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week, until further notice. The service is available at no cost to Santa Rosa County residents with valid ID or proof of residency.

The drop-off sites accept only vegetative storm debris, including tree limbs, branches, leaves, and yard waste. Residents cannot dispose of household garbage, construction debris, appliances, or commercial waste at these locations. Material in plastic bags will not be accepted; only paper bags are permitted. This option supplements the county's curbside debris pickup, which began Wednesday, October 14, along publicly owned roads.
