Santa Rosa County Libraries Reopen Monday After Hurricane Closures

Three branches of the Santa Rosa County Library System will resume service Monday, October 19, following temporary closures caused by a recent hurricane. The Jay, Pace, and Gulf Breeze libraries will reopen during their regularly scheduled hours, while the Library Administration office will also resume operations.
The reopened locations will offer additional computer access to help residents navigate hurricane recovery—allowing community members to research assistance programs, complete online forms, and access critical information during the rebuilding effort.
Two other facilities remain closed. The Navarre Library continues experiencing storm-related power problems, while the Milton Library's previously planned October 19 reopening—originally scheduled after renovations—has been postponed to Monday, October 26 due to hurricane-related delays. The Family History & Research Center will remain closed until further notice as the county assesses conditions across the system.
Santa Rosa County Communications said staff will announce additional reopening dates as facilities are restored. Residents can call (850) 981-7323 or visit www.santarosa.fl.gov/libraries for updates.
