Santa Rosa County Libraries Mark 20 Years With Anniversary Celebration Oct. 3

Santa Rosa County's library system is throwing open its doors Saturday, October 3rd, for a special 20th anniversary celebration across all system locations. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature activities for all ages, giving the community a chance to mark two decades of library services in the county.
According to Santa Rosa County Communications, all regular library locations will participate in the milestone celebration. The Milton Library, which is temporarily closed, has directed patrons to join the festivities at one of the other branch locations instead.
Beyond the anniversary event, Santa Rosa County Libraries is rolling out its full fall schedule, which includes returning preschool storytime programs at multiple branches—Gulf Breeze, Jay, Navarre, and Pace libraries—running through early December. Toddler Time programs for children 18 to 36 months are also back, though those require advance registration and have limited space.
The system is also hosting a bilingual traveling exhibit called "Indios Amigos" starting October 5th at Gulf Breeze Library, highlighting the Aztec artisans and warriors who came with Tristan de Luna's 1559 expedition to Pensacola. For genealogy enthusiasts, family history assistance will be available at select branches throughout October.
