Santa Rosa County Approves Half-Cent Sales Tax Renewal Ballot Language

Santa Rosa County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Santa Rosa County commissioners voted unanimously Thursday to approve ballot language for the half-cent sales tax renewal heading to voters in November. The existing tax - which funds roads, stormwater, public safety, parks, and recreation - expires at the end of this year. The board has been working with the Trust for Public Land on the language, which includes a conservation component alongside the traditional road funding priorities. The measure now moves toward the November ballot with a submission deadline to the Supervisor of Elections in early August.
