SANTA ROSA CHAMBER: NAVARRE INFRASTRUCTURE

The Navarre Beach Area Chamber Of Commerce is asking the Santa Rosa County Board Of County Commissioners to initiate a Planning, Design, and Environmental Study to replace the obsolete Navarre Beach Bridge. Navarre's primary corridors are state roads, US 98 and Highway 87, all fed by countless neighborhood streets, adding to the congestion and frustration of local drivers. The PD&E study is the prerequisite for Santa Rosa to be eligable for state and federal grants and transportation dollars. The chamber is also against any redirection of any of the PD&E funds towards imposing a toll on the current Navarre Beach Bridge. The subject will be up before the Santa Rosa County Board of Commissioners meeting Thursday.
