Salzman: State ramping up Panhandle storm recovery, urges residents to seek aid

Florida State Rep. Michelle Salzman joined Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday in Milton to highlight ongoing recovery efforts following recent storm damage across the Panhandle, according to North Escambia reporting.
Salzman praised state agencies for what she described as unprecedented emergency response times in the wake of the storm. The representative emphasized that residents in affected areas—including parts of Escambia and Santa Rosa counties—should not hesitate to reach out for state assistance if they've suffered damage or losses.
"We hear you," Salzman said at the news conference, signaling the state's commitment to supporting communities still working through recovery. The joint appearance with DeSantis underscored coordination between state leadership and local representatives on resource deployment and aid distribution across the hardest-hit areas of Northwest Florida.
