Road Worker Critically Injured After Being Struck by Pickup Truck on Beulah Road

Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A 68-year-old road maintenance worker is in critical condition after being struck by a pickup truck early Tuesday morning on Beulah Road. Florida Highway Patrol says the worker was walking southbound in the northbound lane with reflective gear on while his crew repainted the road near Helms Road around 4 a.m. A 21-year-old Pensacola man driving a pickup truck northbound struck the worker. The driver was not injured. The investigation is ongoing
