RED LIGHT CAMERA UPDATE

Pensacola FL (NewsRadio 92-3) Red light cameras in Pensacola are now six days fully active with tickets now being sent to violators. Police officers are reviewing possible offenses one by one. Officers examine footage from the cameras to determine if a driver truly ran a red light. They are still processing footage from January. Those violators will get just a warning. The actual $158 fines will roll out soon. The department is set to review February's violations next week. Once an officer declares a violation, the vendor will issue a ticket through the mail. Violators have 45 days to either pay the fee or contest the ticket. The ticket will include that QR code, which will take you right to the footage of the violation.
