PPD TO CRACK DOWN ON DOWNTOWN DISTURBANCES

The Pensacola Police Department says off-duty officers will be used to crack down on disturbances downtown--- specifically racing, reckless driving, and loud car noises. PPD spokesman Mike Wood says the Downtown Improvement Board is hiring the officers, and they're won't be any grace period for motorists. Wood says there will be no warnings, only citations, because, for the most part, people already know it's illegal.
