Port of Pensacola Director Clark Merritt Resigns

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Pensacola's Port Director has resigned. Clark Merritt resigned from his position yesterday. The city issued a statement saying they appreciate Merritt's work with the city and the Port of Pensacola over the years. Merritt took over as Port Director in 2021 when Amy Miller was promoted to Deputy City Administrator. Under Merritt's watch the Port has launched several major projects including the construction of the American Magic headquarters. There's no word on Merritt's future plans.
