Polk County Soldier Killed In Operation Epic Fury

Winter Haven, FL -- A Florida soldier is among the Americans killed in Operation Epic Fury. The Department of Defense identified 35-year-old Army Reserve Captain Cody Khork of Winter Haven as one of four service members killed in Kuwait when an unmanned aircraft struck their location. Khork joined the National Guard in 2009 and earned several medals during his service. His family says he felt a call to serve his country from an early age and that his legacy will endure in the lives he touched.
