Pine Meadow third graders explore UF/IFAS Extension in world tour activity

UF/IFAS Extension in Escambia County recently welcomed 130 third grade students from Pine Meadow Elementary School for an interactive learning event that introduced them to the organization's work in the community.
Students participated in a "world travel" themed program where they moved through different stations, each designed to highlight various aspects of Extension's mission. Every child received a passport that was stamped at each location, turning the educational experience into an engaging adventure.
The event showcased how Extension impacts local life, from agriculture and natural resources to family and consumer sciences. By introducing young students to Extension's programs early, organizers aim to build awareness about the organization's role in supporting Escambia County residents.
