Foley, AL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A 67-year-old man is dead after an airplane crash in Baldwin County. Foley Fire Chief Joey Darby says the pilot was flying a small airplane when he crashed into the runway at Foley Municipal Airport. The fire department responded on Monday afternoon to find the plane in flames midway on the runway. Investigators say the pilot died at the scene of the crash. The Foley Airport is closed as an investigation into the crash continues. Officials say that could take up to three days.
