Perdido Kids Park grand reopening and ribbon-cutting set for next Thursday, Sep. 3

Escambia County will hold a grand reopening and ribbon-cutting next Thursday, Sep. 3 at 10 a.m. for the newly improved Perdido Kids Park. The park on Gulf Beach Highway has new playground equipment, ADA-accessible amenities and new fencing. County officials say several longtime features were preserved, including the children’s handprint wall, climbing trees, airplane rocker toys, swings and picnic pavilion. District Two Commissioner Mike Kohler says the park is important to the community and he’s looking forward to seeing families return. The reopening will be held at the park at 10004 Gulf Beach Highway.
