Pensacola State College Begins Presidential Search With Trustees-Only Committee

Pensacola, FL (NewsRadio 92.3) -- Pensacola State College is searching for a new president following the planned retirement of Dr. Ed Meadows at the end of the year — and the search process is drawing attention for who's not involved. Unlike the twenty-four-member committee that selected Meadows nearly two decades ago, this search committee consists only of the college's nine board of trustees members. Board Chairman Zack Smith says the compressed timeline is driving the decision, since Meadows wants to retire no later than December thirty-first. Smith says the community will have opportunities for input before a final selection is made. The board has also voted to request a DOGE audit ahead of the leadership transition.
