Pensacola's Del Taco Closes After Less Than One Year

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The new Del Taco on Brent Lane is calling it quits. The restaurant, which opened just months ago, officially closed its doors on Monday. Pensacola's location is among five Del Taco restaurants across Florida that are closing their doors unexpectedly. The chain closures follow a major corporate shift: Del Taco's owner, Jack in the Box, recently sold the brand to another company for 115 million dollars. That's a steep drop from the 575 million Jack in the Box spent to buy Del Taco just a few years ago. Locations closed in Pensacola, Tallahassee, Defuniak Springs, Crawfordville, and Santa Rosa Beach.
