A Pensacola man is charged with punching his child's mother, throwing her from her car, and then hitting another woman with the vehicle as he fled the scene, according to the arrest report. 21 year old Bruce Gibbs was arrested Monday on a variety of charges. The incident happened on April 28 at the Lakes at Nottingham Apartments on Highway 98 in Escambia County. According to the arrest report, Gibbs was arguing with his child's mother at her apartment, when he punched her in the eye, then ran away when she said she was calling 911. Gibbs allegedly tried to get into another person's vehicle, which is when the child's mother drove up. Gibbs allegedly opened her driver's door, pulled her from the car, got inside and drove away, striking another woman with the car as he drove away. That woman was transported to the hospital with injuries. Gibbs was released from Escambia County Jail on Wednesday on $82,000 bond.
