Pensacola Day 4: Power restored to 97K as cleanup continues

As Pensacola enters its fourth day of recovery from Hurricane Isaias, city crews are maintaining round-the-clock efforts to clear debris and restore critical services, according to an 11 a.m. update from the City of Pensacola Public Information Office.

Florida Power & Light has restored electricity to approximately 97,000 customers across Escambia County as of Monday morning. City officials are urging residents to remain cautious as downed trees, power lines, and other storm hazards remain scattered throughout the area.

"Our crews have been working nonstop, pitching in wherever they are needed," the city said in its update. "They're tired. You're tired. But remember this is a marathon, not a sprint." The focus remains on public safety, debris removal, and restoring critical infrastructure and services to the community.
