Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The Pensacola Children's Museum is temporarily closed for renovations to its first-floor gallery, which has featured the Discovery Gallery since 2012. The museum will reopen this winter with a new exhibit called "Our Town." The new exhibit will allow children to explore various aspects of Pensacola's history, including fishing, culinary arts, construction, fire safety, and railroading. New interactive features will include the Silas Stearns schooner, the Milk Bottle Diner, and a sensory space called Calming Seas on the second floor. The renovation is being funded through a grant from IMPACT 100 women's philanthropic organization.
