Orange Beach PD: Man Dies After Crashing Into Water During Pursuit

Orange Beach police say a man died after crashing into the Intra Coastal Waterway in Gulf Shores during a pursuit early this morning--- It happened after police received a report of a car striking a pedestrian on Canal Road in Orange Beach. After trying to conduct a traffic stop, the driver sped away and led officers on a chase that ended at the Tacky Jacks. Investigators say the suspect was not able to navigate the turn at Hwy 90 and crashed into the water.
