One Dead After Early Morning House Fire in Escambia County

Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- One person is dead following an early morning house fire in Escambia County. Escambia County Fire Rescue responded to the 400 block of Winthrop Avenue just before 2 a.m. Monday and found heavy flames throughout the home. Fire crews pulled one adult from the burning structure but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Navy Fire assisted with the response. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
