There was a huge police presence earlier today at Corry Station after a report of gunshots. Calls came in around 10:15 am for reports of three gunshots at the installation on Chiefs Way off of Navy Boulevard. Sheriff Chip Simmons says no shooter or victim were located, and there was no sign that anything had happened. Two EMS units who responded to that call, were released back into service in Escambia County, and the sheriff's office said they were drawing down their presence as well. Again reports are that there is NOT an active shooter at Corry Station. NAS Pensacola said its Main Gate and West Gate are now open to Department of Defense identification card holders. Public visitation to NAS Pensacola's areas of public interest is currently unavailable.
