New Security Cameras Coming to Pensacola Beach After SRIA Board Vote

Pensacola Beach, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The Santa Rosa Island Authority Board has approved an agreement with Escambia County and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office to install new security cameras across Pensacola Beach. This project is part of a phased initiative which will add fourteen multi-sensor cameras around key areas such as Casino Beach and the boardwalk parking lot. The cameras will feed into the sheriff's office's real-time crime center. Escambia County will contribute approximately $199,625 for the installation, with maintenance costs shared between the county and the Santa Rosa Island Authority.
