NEW OLF-8 OFFER

There's a new offer on the table for the OLF 8 property in Beulah. Tri-W Development out of Montgomery, Alabama has reportedly offered Escambia County $ 36 million -- but that would be for the entire property. Previously the county had planned on keeping a portion of the property for job creation. That would also mean that some previously awarded grant funding from Triumph Gulf Coast may be lost as it's only eligible for government-owned property. Commissioner Jeff Bergosh announced the new offer on his online blog. Commissioners are also still considering a $25-million dollar offer for a portion of the land from Beulah Town Center, LLC. Both offers are expected to be discussed by commissioners at this week's meeting.
