MOTORCYCLIST INJURED IN CRASH

A 65-year-old motorcyclist was injured in a vehicle crash in Escambia County yesterday afternoon. The crash happened on Michigan Avenue and Marseille Drive around 5 pm. As an SUV with four people inside, including children, was about to make a left turn onto State Road 296, the 65-year-old accelerated his motorcycle, and hit the SUV. The motorcylist was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. He was cited for operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle endorsement. No one else was injured in the crash.
