MILTON WOMAN CHARGED FOR ABUSING DOGS

A Milton woman was charged with abusing two dogs that she was watching for another woman. 24 year old Megan Williams was arrested Monday on two charges of aggravated animal cruelty. She's being held in Santa Rosa County Jail on $200,000 bond. According to court documents, the dog owner spoke to a Santa Rosa County Animal Services investigator on April 6. She said Williams had been dog sitting for her by watching her dogs Ruger and Remi for several weeks. The documents state the woman noticed Ruger was acting "strange/injured." She then went through her home security cameras and saw Williams "abusing/torturing" her dogs. Williams turned the video over to investigators. On April 8, according to the documents, the investigator met with Williams, who admitted that "she was rough with the two dogs." The county tells WEAR News the dogs suffered injuries, but are still alive.
