MILTON MAN GETS 25 YEARS FOR KILLING WOMAN, BURYING HER IN BACKYARD
Milton, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A Milton man will spend 25 years in prison for killing a woman and burying her body in his backyard in 2021. 62-year-old Johnny Malisham was sentenced late last month. He pleaded guilty to charges of second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon in late September. Prosecutors say Malisham killed Milton woman Cynthia Hoover in March of 2021 by hitting her with a hatchet, then buried her in his backyard. Malisham had previously spent six years in prison on a separate manslaughter charge out of Butler County, Alabama.
