Pensacola FL (NewsRadio 92-3) This year's Pensacola Mardi Gras Parade is coming up on Saturday -- officials say there are new security procedures after the tragic event in New Orleans on New Year's morning. Bayfront and Main Street will be closed off entirely from Wahoos Stadium to Veterans Memorial Park an hour before the parade starts -- which could make for traffic backups for last minute arrivals downtown. Mayor DC Reeves tells Newsradio that Bayfront and Main Street will likely be reopened quickly after the parade, however it will take several hours for the parade route itself to be reopened as street sweepers will have to clean the road.
