MASS CASUALTY DRILL IN PENSACOLA BAY

A charter boat crashed into a ferry, causing ten people to be thrown into Pensacola Bay, with the U.S. Coast Guard and Escambia County first responders working a mass rescue. Not to worry, though, it was drill in Pensacola Bay this morning. Those participating in the drill this morning did not know the details of it until the call went out. They had to work it in real time, like they would in real life. While this operation was planned in advance, it comes right after a boat collided with a ferry in Clearwater, killing one person and injuring 10 others.
