Man Wounded in Atmore Shooting Near Carver Avenue

An adult male was injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in Atmore, according to the Atmore Police Department. The incident occurred on Carver Avenue near King and Sims streets amid a large gathering of more than 500 people. Officers responded to reports of multiple gunshots fired in the area. In addition to the shooting, police also received reports of a person struck by a vehicle at the scene. The Atmore Police Department is continuing its investigation into the incident.
