Man with 21 prior felony convictions arrested on drug charges in Escambia County

An Escambia County Sheriff's Office traffic stop led to drug charges against a man with an extensive criminal history, according to WKRG News 5.

Deputies pulled over the vehicle and a K9 unit alerted to the presence of drugs, authorities said. The arrest came during what began as a routine traffic stop in unincorporated Escambia County.

The suspect, whose name was not immediately disclosed by the Sheriff's Office, had 21 prior felony convictions on his record. Specific details about the charges he now faces were not yet available, but the drug alert from the K9 unit provided probable cause for the arrest.
