Man Arrested For Abandoning Dogs In Escambia County

Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A 60-year-old man is facing animal cruelty charges for abandoning two dogs in Escambia County. The Sheriff's Office says Bryan Mott was arrested Thursday after a deputy spotted his truck with two dogs, then saw the same truck without the dogs. A witness reported seeing the red Chevy Silverado dump the dogs on Becks Lake Road. Mott gave deputies conflicting explanations. Surveillance video confirmed his truck traveling with the dogs. The animals are now with Animal Control.
