LUNAR ECLIPSE TONIGHT

You won't need special glasses to see the lunar eclipse coming to Pensacola tonight. While Florida residents won't see a total lunar eclipse, the Earth's shadow — known as the umbra — will cover almost 94% of the moon. You'll have to stay up late if you want to see the peak of the eclipse, which will happen shortly before midnight, but most people should be able to see the start of the eclipse earlier in the evening. Of course, the best viewing will be away from lights and with no clouds. The eclipse begins: 8:23 p.m. tonight with the maximum at 11:12pm and ending around 2am.
