Kimmel Returns to ABC, Sinclair Stations Don't Plan to Air Program

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Jimmy Kimmel is set to return to the airwaves tonight on ABC....but likely not on WEAR or other Sinclair affiliates. Sinclair Broadcast Group is planning to preempt Jimmy Kimmel Live with news programming when the show returns to the network tonight. Kimmel had been suspended indefinitely last week by ABC following comments he made related to Charlie Kirk's assassination. Disney announced that the show would return after Kimmel drew support from fellow late-night hosts like Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert who called the network's decision to indefinitely suspend the show an attack on free speech
