IN LESS THAN A WEEK NEW "REAL ID'S" GO INTO EFFECT

In less than a week, new ID rules take effect at U.S. military bases. Civilians going through the gate at NAS Pensacola will need a "real ID." Most people in Northwest Florida with a driver's license already have one. Just look for the "star" in the right corner. If it is there, you are good to go. If you don't have a real ID, be prepared to show a passport or other federal photo identification.
