Illegal Immigration Raids Ramp Up Across Gulf Coast

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The nationwide crackdown on illegal immigration has resulted in multiple ICE raids across the Gulf Coast recently. We learned this week that ICE had detained two people after a raid on a lawncare company in Navarre. Yesterday, agents raided the construction site for the new elemenetary school in Loxley. 11 people were detained at the school. Channel 3 reports that a worker described fellow employees attempting to escape into the fields surrounding the construction site but they agents on four wheelers went after them so they ran back to the school and tried to hide on roofs and in attics. This comes after another raid on a school construction site in Gulf Shores resulted in multiple illegal immigrants being arrested last month.
