Hurlburt Field conducts emergency readiness exercise through Wednesday

Hurlburt Field is running an emergency response exercise through today that's expected to create a noticeable uptick in activity on the base, according to the U.S. Air Force. The readiness drill, which runs through September 23, is designed to test the base's emergency response capabilities. The exercise may generate increased vehicle traffic and other operational activity typical of emergency drills. Residents and commuters in the Okaloosa County area near the base should be aware of the temporary heightened activity as the exercise concludes today.
