112524 (FOX News Network) Stubbornly high inflation continues to strain the budgets of local households this Thanksgiving. A new report by Lending Tree finds that the costs are up 19% from a year ago. On average, Thanksgiving dinner hosts plan to spend $431 on food, drinks, and decor for the celebration. 60% of respondents said inflation had impacted their plans for celebrating the holidays with 27% saying they would change food choices, 26% turning to using coupons, and 9% declining to host due to costs. Over one-third, 35%, said they may reconsider opening their homes next year after President-Elect Tump's economic policies kick in.
