Gulf Shores, AL (Newsradio 92.3) -- City officials in Gulf Shores have approved another year for the always-popular Hangout Festival. The council voted unanimously on Monday to approve a one-year extension. They have an option to extend the deal another year to cover 2027 as well -- the city is hoping future festivals will live up to this year's "Sand in my Boots" version of the festival which drew huge crowds to the area. The council plans to work with residents to address parking, traffic, and noise issue for future festivals.
