Free Thanksgiving Food Distribution Set for Saturday at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church

Pensacola, FL Newsradio 92.3) -- Families in need of help with Thanksgiving dinner can get assistance this Saturday at a major food distribution event hosted by Representative Michelle Salzman.
The giveaway will take place at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church, located at 6205 North W Street in Pensacola, starting at 7:30 a.m. and continuing while supplies last. Cars can begin lining up as early as 6 a.m.
Farm Share, partnering with Representative Salzman and several local organizations, will distribute 30,000 pounds of food. The first 300 families will receive complete Thanksgiving meals along with boxes of fresh groceries.
Each vehicle will receive a box of fresh food and a box containing a full Thanksgiving meal.
The event is made possible through partnerships with multiple organizations including The Butcher Shoppe, Escambia County Sheriff's Office, ECHO, FPL, Marcus Pointe, International Paper, Aaron Erskine, Kerem Health, Havens at Pensacola, Coral Bay at Pensacola, United Rentals, Pensacola Christian College, and State Farm.
The community food distribution is coordinated by the office of Representative Michelle Salzman.
