FPL Back Before Public Service Commission Today

Tallahassee, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Florida Power and Light is back before regulators today. The Florida Public Service Commission will consider FP&L's settlement agreement tied to its proposed rate hike. The utility originally asked for a ten-billion-dollar increase over four years to strengthen the electrical grid and handle more customers. FP&L revised that request in August after working with major corporate customers. Two weeks of hearings wrapped up in October where both sides made their arguments. A decision on the settlement could come soon.
