Fort Walton Beach Lowe's hosts bed-building event for local children

Volunteers are being sought to help construct beds for children in need during a community service event at the Fort Walton Beach Lowe's, according to organizers.

The effort brings together Lowe's, the nonprofit Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and local volunteers to build and donate beds to children in the Fort Walton Beach area who might otherwise go without. Sleep in Heavenly Peace operates across the country with a mission focused on ensuring every child has a safe place to sleep.

The event offers residents a chance to get hands-on with a meaningful project while supporting families facing housing insecurity or financial hardship. No carpentry experience is necessary, and all materials and tools are typically provided by the organizing partners.
