Century FL (NewsRadio 92-3) Qualifying for the special election in Century ended yesterday, and only one person qualified to run to be the town's mayor.... and that's former mayor, Ben Boutwell. He tells Channel 3 that he didn't intend to run until a few days ago. Boutwell says he wants to focus on infrastructure, jobs, and economic development in the area. Current interim mayor Alicia Johnson said she planned to run, but health issues convinced her to step aside. (:20) Three people qualified to run for the town's District 4 council seat -- . There will be a primary election on March 18th and the two with the most votes will go on to the general election in April.
