Florida Senator Ashley Moody Joins Senate Armed Services Committee

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Florida Senator Ashley Moody has been selected to join the U.S. Senate Committee on Armed Services. Moody says the role is personal as a member of a military family. Florida is home to more than 20 military installations, 3 combatant commands, and more than one-and-a-half million veterans. Moody secured more than 851 million dollars for Florida military bases through last year's National Defense Authorization Act. Committee Chairman Roger Wicker says her addition comes at a consequential moment for military budgeting and modernization.
