FLORIDA SENATE INCLUDES $5M FOR BAPTIST HOSPITAL

We're still months away from the Florida House and Senate coming together to negotiate next year's state budget, but the initial budget proposals do show support for three big local projects. According to the PNJ, State Senator Doug Broxson included $5 million for the demolition of the old Baptist Hospital, as well as $2.2 million for Bay Bluffs Park. Both House and Senate versions included funding for the Pensacola International Airport terminal expansion, with $1 million proposed from the Senate and $750,000 from the House.
