Florida Executes Convicted Killer

(Starke, FL) -- A convicted killer is dead after he was executed at Florida State Prison. Ronald Palmer Heath died by lethal injection at 6:12 last night. The 64-year-old was put to death for killing a man he and his brother were robbing in Gainesville in 1989. Heath's brother was given a life sentence as part of a plea deal. In Heath's final statement, he said he was sorry. This was Florida's first execution of the year.
